Elk hunting at North Morgan Creek Ranch is done all year for elk cows, bulls may be hunted in late august while they are in velvet or until they drop their antlers, which is typically in early February. We have harvested several bull elk that scored between 300 and 400.  The only license needed is a small game license, which includes the hunting of all exotic animals in Texas.
